The 70842B is a 70000-series MMS plug-in error detector module covering 100 Mb/s to 3 Gb/s. It counts bit errors by comparing incoming data against an internally generated reference pattern, with error analysis to CCITT G.821.
Complements the 70841B pattern generator in the 71603B error performance analyser; supports PRBS, zero substitution/variable mark density and word patterns.
