The N4951B is a pattern generator remote head for the N4960A Serial BERT controller, available in 4 to 17 Gb/s and 5 to 32 Gb/s versions. High-amplitude (H) heads output up to 3 V p-p single-ended for driving laser modulators directly, while de-emphasis (D) heads add 5-tap de-emphasis.
Generates PRBS and user-defined patterns at full data rate; used for 100 GbE, InfiniBand EDR/FDR, 16G/32G Fibre Channel, SerDes, optical modules and CEI backplanes.
