The Keysight (Agilent) 83493A is a single-mode optical clock recovery module designed for use with the 86100 oscilloscope family, enabling accurate timing analysis without requiring external clock access. Compatible with 9/125 μm single-mode fiber, it supports key optical data rates including 0.155, 0.622, 1.250, 2.488, and 2.500 Gb/s. Its integrated coupler/splitter minimizes the need for additional trigger hardware, simplifying test setup and improving efficiency.
It operates over a wavelength range of 1200–1600 nm and supports PLL bandwidths of 50–70 kHz for internal triggering and 4–5 MHz for external output. Input optical power range spans from -20 to +3 dBm, providing robust performance in high-speed optical communication environments.
