The Keysight (Agilent) 8496G is a DC to 4 GHz programmable step attenuator with attenuation ranging from 0 to 110 dB in 10 dB steps. It features gold-plated leaf springs for over 5 million cycles, offering excellent repeatability of typically 0.01 dB. Insertion loss is just 0.6 dB + 0.09 dB/GHz, with a maximum SWR of 1.5. It handles 1 W average and 100 W peak RF power, and has a switching time of 20 ms. Connector options include Type-N, SMA, and APC-7.
This attenuator is ideal for precise RF signal control in automated test systems. It supports quick serial connection using Agilent 11716A/B/C kits, with NIST traceable data as an option to enhance accuracy.
