The ML4079E is an 8-channel bit error rate tester for 800G (8 x 100 Gb/s) testing, operating at 23 to 29 and 46 to 58 GBaud PAM4 or NRZ. It includes real hardware FEC analysis with pre/post-FEC BER/SER and FEC margin per channel and per 100G/400G/800G block, plus SNR and histogram measurements and TX/RX equalisers.
Supports receiver stress and jitter tolerance testing when paired with the ML407-PAM jitter clock source; half-width 2U benchtop unit controlled via ThunderBERT GUI. Variants include ML4079EN (noise/jitter injection) and ML4079ELN (long reach, up to 66 GBaud).
