The Tektronix 1705A is a compact spectrum monitor ideal for portable TV earth station operators, supporting 45–100 MHz and 950–1800 MHz dual-band operation. It provides high sensitivity to monitor satellite downlink signals and 70 MHz IF points without manual input attenuation. Narrow span and resolution filter options allow precise monitoring of satellite transponders and FM modulation envelopes.
Designed for quick satellite identification, the 1705A aids in accurate antenna alignment and polarization adjustments using selectable screen sensitivities of 2 dB or 10 dB per division.
